Nancy Abd El Wahab - PADI Course Director

 

Nancy, originally from Germany, has known Dahab for more then 20 years. These 20 years have all been spent in the diving industry and from the very beginning of her instructorial career her ambition was always to become a PADI Course Director and to teach the full range of Instructor-level courses. Since then, Nancy has worked on more than 90 IDCs and assisted more than 1800 candidates to realize their dream of becoming a PADI diving instructor. During this 20 years Nancy has received several awards for her work like the Platinum Course Director status.

 

Prerequisites to join our programs

 

Assistant Instructor (AI)

To join the Assistant Instructor course (AI) you need to:

  • have been a qualified diver for more than six months
  • be a PADI Divemaster, or you have a leadership certification from a qualifying organization
  • have proof of certification in CPR/First Aid (EFR highly recommended), not older than 24 months
  • have proof of medical clearance from a physician that you are fit for diving, not older than 12 months
  • have proof of all certification levels from Open Water to Divemaster
  • have 3 passport photographs
  • Complete a diving theory and a Standards and Procedures exam we will send to you.

 

Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)

To join us on the OWSI course, you need to:

  • be a PADI Assistant Instructor, or finished the AI part of the IDC
  • have proof of certification in CPR/First Aid (EFR highly recommended), not older than 24 months
  • have proof of medical clearance from a physician that you are fit for diving, not older then 12 months
  • have proof of all certification levels from Open Water to Assistant Instructor
  • have 3 passport photographs Complete a diving theory and a Standards and Procedures exam we will send to you.

 

Emergency First Response Instructor (EFR)

To be an Open Water Scuba Instructor you already need to be an EFR Instructor. We always offer this course one day before the IDC starts.

  • In this course you will learn how to teach the student level of Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children.
  • Prerequisite: certified in student level of EFR Primary Care, Secondary Care and (not older then 24 months).

 

PADI Specialty Instructor:

Here you will learn how to organize and market your chosen PADI Specialty.

  • Prerequisite: PADI Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor.

 

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT):

Here you will learn how to organize and market at least five PADI Specialty courses.

  • Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with at least 25 certifications of any level to prove teaching experience.
  • The MSDT Prep Course can be done directly after the IDC. (Ask for details on which PADI Specialties are available).

 

PADI IDC Staff Instructor:

After becoming an IDC Staff Instructor you will play an important role in the team of a PADI Instructor Development Course. With this level you are allowed to train PADI Divemasters to become Assistant Instructors.

  • Prerequisite: PADI MSDT Instructor
